Stepping upon and crossing Sky Bridge 721, which is located in the northeast of the Czech Republic around 2.5 hours from Prague, is a terrifying and thrilling experience. After all, crossing a tiny, 1.2-meter-wide bridge between 1,110 and 1,116 meters above sea level isn’t something you get to do every day. The bridge has broken the world record for the longest suspension footbridge. The bridge offers amazing views of the cloud-covered Jeseniky Mountains as an added bonus.

Sky Bridge 721, which opened to the public on May 13, 2022, took two years to construct. According to the official website, six supporting ropes and 60 wind ropes of various diameters were necessary to erect the 721-meter-long bridge. Visitors can take a cable car to the location and then walk from there. A beautiful forest vista awaits you once you exit the bridge. You can also play a virtual reality game with a unique storyline, custom-recorded movie scenes, and an interactive reality that will take you on a fascinating journey through Czech history while exploring the Chlum Mountain ridge. The game is part of The Bridge of Time, an educational route.
